COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Nov. 2, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1 028 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,229,725*;
6 new deaths, for a total of 17,065 deaths, i.e.;
3 deaths in the last 24 hours,
3 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
0 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
3,715 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,934 hospitalizations, including 627 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 16 compared to the previous day;
45 people in intensive care, including 26 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 4 compared to the previous day; NOTE: Due to a technical problem, data on admissions and discharges of hospitalizations are not available today. The situation will be restored tomorrow.
12,717 samples conducted on October 31;
305,541 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 256,832 positive: 153 declared for yesterday, including 135 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
22,413 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,897,070 doses received by Quebecers.
