COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, Oct. 25, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1,051 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,222,917*;
17 new deaths, for a total of 16,974 deaths, i.e.;
1 death in the last 24 hours,
14 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
2 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago;
NOTE : As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
3,609 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,966 hospitalizations, including 660 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 38 compared to the previous day;
318 new entries,
356 new discharges;
50 people in intensive care, including 25 due to COVID-19, which remains stable compared to the previous day;
27 new entries,
27 new discharges;
8,653 samples conducted on October 23;
303,279 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 254,827 positive: 220 declared for yesterday, including 187 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
15,803 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,732,665 doses received by Quebecers.
