COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, QC, Oct. 14, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1 057 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,213,474*;
13 new deaths, for a total of 16,876 deaths, i.e.;
3 deaths in the last 24 hours,
6 deaths that occurred between two and seven days ago,
4 deaths that occurred more than seven days ago; NOTE: As death removals are not shown in the data above, the number of death additions may exceed the number of new deaths for the day.
4,019 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
2,063 hospitalizations, including 624 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 19 compared to the previous day;
162 new entries,
181 new discharges;
60 people in intensive care, including 21 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 5 compared to the previous day;
11 new entries,
6 new discharges;
13,308 samples conducted on October 12;
299,156 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 251,212 positive: 236 declared for yesterday, including 200 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
25,442 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 21,512,637 doses received by Quebecers.
