Therapy Choice Expands Its Home Modification Program Through Partnerships with Leading Managed Care Organizations (MCOs)

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 12, 2022   /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Therapy Choice, a Medicare Part B provider that specializes in in-home physical and occupational therapy, has enhanced its personalized home modification program through new partnerships with leading Managed Care Organizations (MCOs). Over the past 20 years, Therapy Choice has been a provider for the Veterans Administration providing veterans with home modification recommendations in Pennsylvania and New Jersey, and now adds MCOs to its resume.

Therapy Choice's experienced, certified and trained clinicians have worked with elderly and disabled clients making home modification recommendations since the company's beginning. The therapists have a strong understanding of disease processes and the functional limitations of their clients, therefore, making the best individualized recommendations to overcome barriers. The outcome of this comprehensive home modification program allows the client to make the recommended changes to their home to help overcome barriers, increase safety, and reduce the risk of falling, while also improving overall function at home.

Under the new partnerships, Therapy Choice now works with MCOs in Pennsylvania on delivering home evaluations in a timely and thorough manner. "The program makes a difference. Our client reported outcomes are more than 95% positive for helping to improve safety and independence," said Michael Gasiewski, OT & co-owner of Therapy Choice. "In addition, partnering with leading health care providers that have a broad adult community brings Therapy Choice new opportunities to provide the best value to our new clients."

"Partnering with MCOs empowers us to deliver our home modification program to many new clients, helping to reduce falls, hospitalizations and overall insurance costs." said Ed Gasiewski, PT & co-owner of Therapy Choice. "MCOs bring innovation, quality, and excellence, and we're proud to be working with them on this very important aspect of our business."

According to the CDC, 70% of home care patients are aged 65 and older. Further, with more people wanting to stay at home since the pandemic, the demand for in-home care and home modifications within the adult community is expected to remain high. A provider such as Therapy Choice brings personalized care directly to the client in their home environment.

Therapy Choice continues to meet the growing demand, throughout the country, for seniors who want to remain safely in their homes.
