Legacy Collective Announces Florida Relief Fund
Donations to Provide Critical Services to Under-resourced Florida Residents
AUSTIN, Texas, Sept. 30, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- Legacy Collective, a giving community dedicated to funding nonprofits addressing systemic issues with sustainable, innovative solutions, announces the Florida Relief Fund. Donations collected from this fund will be used to provide emergency services to Florida residents including shelter, food resources, and home repair services. At the time of this announcement, Feeding Tampa Bay, Hope Partnership, Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay, and World Central Kitchen have been vetted and chosen to receive the donations from the relief fund.

- Feeding Tampa Bay: Feeding Tampa Bay and our Disaster Readiness team are FEMA trained and prepared to handle disaster situations. In partnership with the Tampa Bay area Emergency Operations Centers, they work directly with local emergency management operations to provide food, water, and hygiene items during crisis situations. Feeding Tampa Bay provides food assistance for 10 counties.
- Hope Partnership: Hope Partnership aims to provide a holistic continuum of care in order to end homelessness and poverty in Central Florida. Hope Partnership is working with the unhoused and those in temporary housing in their community during this storm to ensure they are safely housed in shelters and will be caring for them following the storm during rebuilding efforts.
- Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay: Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay provides free critical home repair to neighbors in need in Hillsborough and Pinellas County, Florida. RTTB provides free critical home repair and affordable housing opportunities to Tampa Bay neighbors who otherwise could not afford it. The funds raised will go to help with home repairs for those in under-resourced communities following the storm.
- World Central Kitchen: World Central Kitchen has deployed a team to Florida. WCK's Relief Team has spread out across the coast to be ready to respond as soon as it is safe to do so. They have secured a kitchen and have made hundreds of sandwiches to have ready to serve as soon as the storm passes. Additionally, they have built partnerships with restaurants ready to activate to help scale immediately.
