Underdog Fills $10 Million Contest, the Largest Season Long Fantasy Football Tournament Ever

Underdog announced today that it has filled the participant pool for Best Ball Mania III -- the largest fantasy football season tournament in history with $10 million in total prize money. The season-long competition, hosted by the fastest growing paid fantasy sports operator ever, has over 451,000 entries competing for a first-place prize of $2 million, a second-place prize of $1 million, and another $1 million prize for the regular-season winner.

Best Ball, one of four game formats currently offered by Underdog, is an innovative form of season-long fantasy that requires no management after the draft. Participants simply draft their 18-player team, and each week Underdog inputs the highest scorers possible for your team. At the end of the season the team with the most points wins.

Launched on May 3, Best Ball Mania III had more than 45,000 entries by the end of the first month, averaging over 1,500 entries per day. This unprecedented tournament has a significantly higher total in entry fees than similarly designed contests across the industry, and the mid-season payout is the largest of its kind.

"It's so incredible to have filled a tournament as big as BBM III with over $10 million in total prize money. The growth we've had in just over two years continues to exceed our wildest dreams," said Jeremy Levine, President and Chairman of Underdog. "The appetite for Best Ball continues to be mind blowing. We're so excited to see more and more new fantasy players try and fall in love with the format, and can't wait to see the continued growth."

Underdog offers Best Ball contests in a variety of formats, including daily, weekly, playoff and season-long. Users can either compete against thousands of other entries for huge prizes or enter into a private draft with friends & family to compete for a smaller prize pool.
