COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, July 19, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
2,219 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,128,282*;
35 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,800 deaths;
6,967 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,960 hospitalizations, including 651 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 82 compared to the previous day;
471 new entries,
389 new discharges;
55 people in intensive care, including 29 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 17 compared to the previous day;
30 new entries,
13 new discharges;
10,262 samples conducted on July 17;
256,395 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 213,651 positive: 681 declared for yesterday, including 598 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
7,073 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,209,135 doses received by Quebecers.
