COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, July 15, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

• 1,910 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,121,203*;
• 11 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,737 deaths;
• 7,138 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
• 1,887 hospitalizations, including 640 due to COVID-19, for an increase of 27 compared to the previous day;
• 189 new entries,
• 162 new discharges;
• 42 people in intensive care, including 22 due to COVID-19, for a decrease of 3 compared to the previous day;
• 8 new entries,
• 11 new discharges;
• 15,087 samples conducted on July 13;
• 251,947 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 209,661 positive: 737 declared for yesterday, including 656 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

• 12,506 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,171,124 doses received by Quebecers.

To limit the spread of the coronavirus as much as possible, it is important to follow basic preventive measures such as hand washing, physical distancing, wearing a face covering and following the instructions in effect.
