COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, July 8, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
1 597 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,101,363*;
17 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,663 deaths;
7,310 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,549 hospitalizations, for an increase of 15 compared to the previous day;
186 new entries,
171 new discharges;
41 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 2 compared to the previous day;
8 new entries,
10 new discharges ;
13,703 samples conducted on July 6;
243,233 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 201,857 positive: 635 declared for yesterday, including 558 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
10,872 doses administered are added, for a cumulative total of 20,097,592 doses received by Quebecers.
