COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, June 21, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
844 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,080,028*;
7 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,545 deaths;
4,686 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,041 hospitalizations, for an increase of 12 compared to the previous day;
174 new entries,
162 new discharges;
35 people in intensive care, for an increase of 9 compared to the previous day;
18 new entries,
9 new discharges;
8,500 samples conducted on June 19;
224,158 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 184,483 positive: 399 declared for yesterday, including 347 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
3,658 doses administered are added, that is 3,480 doses in the last 24 hours and 178 doses before June 20, for a total of 20,012,472 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 340,367 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 20,352,839 doses received by Quebecers.
