COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, June 20, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
532 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,079,184*;
2 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,538 deaths;
4,287 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
Hospitalizations and intensive care: due to a change in methodology, data are no longer compiled on weekends. Thus, the data will be updated from Tuesday to Saturday
7,515 samples conducted on June 18;
223,409 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 183,813 positive: 356 declared for yesterday, including 314 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
Vaccination
1,890 doses administered are added, that is 1,892 doses in the last 24 hours and -2 doses before June 19, for a total of 20,008,814 doses administered in Québec*. Outside Québec, a total of 340,180 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 20,348,994 doses received by Quebecers.
* The decrease is explained by corrections made to the database.
