HOLLISTER, Calif., June 14, 2022 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- SIDCO Home Inc., a San Francisco Bay Area design-build construction firm has built an innovative fire-resistant home that will be on the market starting Wednesday, June 15.

This residence is approximately 3200 sq ft 4 bedrooms, 3 bath that features ECO Smart fire-resistant SIP panel technology to build the house. Since 60% of workers are still working from home this house is equipped with LiFi technology that is 100 times faster than Wi-Fi and has a secure network.

This SIDCO home has been built as a fire-resistant home with a clear vision to remove the fossil fuel from the housing building industry. Just like Tesla removed the fossil fuel from the transportation vehicles ? SIDCO homes have removed the fossil fuel from the homes and made them energy efficient. SIDCO home uses fire-resistant building material Magnesium Oxide SIPs, it is termite proof, mold proof, moisture resistant, and designed to reduce CO2 into the environment.

"Fire-resistant Eco Smart Panels will replace the use of OSB and Plywood to help save lives and protect the property," said SIDCO Founder & CEO Manmohan (Mohan) Mahal. But SIDCO's founder hasn't lost sight of the larger goal: tackling the bigger issue of Global warming and Climate change that has resulted in many floods, fires, and devastation all over the world. He envisions that the future homes will be built in the factories to reduce the construction cost and time and transported to the site.

"The Hollister residence at 1039 El Cerro Drive, Hollister Ca. 95023 is designed and built with the home safety in mind," said Mohan. "The home has excellent indoor air quality as it is designed with all Electric Heat pump technology with ERV (Energy Recovery Ventilation) which constantly brings in fresh air from the outside to have cleaner indoor air quality. Air Quality Index (AQI) in the house is less than 50 much better than the outside air." The house is completely landscaped to conserve water, he added. "The irrigation system installed puts the water back in the ground instead of running it down the street. There is synthetic grass in the front and some green grass to keep us connected with nature, which is great for homeowners."

Mahal got inspired to build a Fire-Resistant home after seeing the devastation caused by the California Camp fire in Paradise on November 8, 2018. That year, California experienced the most destructive wildfire season in states history with over 7,600 wildfires that burned, claiming the lives of 86 people, 1,846,445 acres in total.

Mahal was committed to building homes by using minimum amount of wood. SIDCO homes are built with Magnesium Oxide SIPs, a key building material used to make Net Zero Energy homes. The difference is SIDCO SIPs are supported and built with metal frame to provide the structural strength. You can use them as exterior wall as well as interior walls with an R value of 25. The exterior is finished with three layers of Stucco and the Interior finished with a sheetrock with texture and No VOC paint. The roof is also built with the same material.

The enterprise to build fire resistant home has been guided by Mahal's education and experience as a Mechanical and Nuclear engineering at UC Berkeley. The patent for the Eco Smart panel was awarded to him on April 20, 2021. As his patent states, "Eco Smart panels may be utilized to create buildings or structures with enhanced energy efficiency, increased fire resistance and increased flood damage. Building with SIDCO-ESP panels will result in decreased construction cost and time."

"These Net Zero energy structures are so efficient, when used in combination with a renewable energy source such as solar or wind they conserve enough energy to operate itself without using energy from the utility companies," Mohan explained.

The appliances in the Hollister house are Energy Smart appliances and uses an all-electric water heater installed in the mechanical room with the Energy Recovery Ventilator. The house comes with an induction cooking range that is powered by electromagnetic energy. When the iron pots contact the active heaters, the iron particles heat up while the cooktop remains cools and safe to touch. This process takes place more quickly than electric or gas because there's no waiting for the burner to heat up first.

"At SIDCO, we believe that in states like California, Colorado where the impact of climate change has resulted in devastating losses due to wildfires and global warming is only going to get worse," Mahal emphasized. We must act now to stop the devastation from the fires and floods. Please contact us to start building safe fire-resistant homes today."
