COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update
QUÉBEC CITY, June 8, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:
738 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,070,888*;
11 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,467 deaths;
3,970 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
1,012 hospitalizations, for an increase of 5 compared to the previous day;
76 new entries,
71 new discharges;
25 people in intensive care, for a decrease of 1 compared to the previous day;
3 new entries,
4 new discharges;
12,639 samples conducted on June 6;
217,064 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 178,140 positive: 280 declared for yesterday, including 232 positive.
*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.
