Heartland's Dianna Gonzales-Burdin Named a Finalist for Newcomer Trustee of the Year Award

Heartland Funds is pleased to announce that Independent Director Dianna Gonzales-Burdin has been named a finalist for the Newcomer Trustee of the Year award from Fund Intelligence.

Dianna joined Heartland from Strategic Investment Group, a Washington, D.C.-based outsourced CIO firm, where, during her nearly 30-year tenure, she was a former partner, managing director, and senior Investment Committee member. As an Independent Director at Heartland Funds, Gonzales-Burdin sits on the firm's expanded six-member board and is one of the first female board members at Heartland since 2003.

The Best Newcomer Trustee of the Year award recognizes potential in newer independent fund directors that have shown strong leadership, initiative, and governance credentials, specifically in their first five years in the boardroom. The full list of shortlisted nominees can be found here, and includes Trustees from Fidelity Equity and High Income Funds, Vanguard Funds, PGIM Funds, and Wilshire Funds.

The Fund Intelligence awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 16, 2022, in New York City.
