COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, May 30, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

• 350 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 1,065,682*;
• 0 new deaths reported in the last 24 hours, for a total of 15,412 deaths;
• 3,680 health care workers absent for COVID-related reasons (preventive withdrawal, isolation, awaiting results, etc.);
• 1,177 hospitalizations, for a decrease of 5 compared to the previous day;
• 41 new entries,
• 46 new discharges;
• 33 people in intensive care, for an increase of 4 compared to the previous day;
• 7 new entries,
• 3 new discharges;
• 8,250 samples conducted on May 28;
• 213,337 self-declared rapid tests so far, including 174,909 positive: 185 declared for yesterday, including 152 positive.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

• 3,077 doses administered are added, that is 3,044 doses in the last 24 hours and 33 doses before May 29, for a total of 19,903,377 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 335,820 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 20,239,197 doses received by Quebecers.
