Media Advisory - Government of Canada to announce major support for events and tourism experiences in Edmonton and across Alberta
EDMONTON, AB, May 20, 2022 /CNW/ - The Honourable Randy Boissonnault, Minister of Tourism and Associate Minister of Finance, on behalf of the Honourable Daniel Vandal, Minister responsible for PrairiesCan, will announce federal support for a wide range of initiatives that will stimulate the local economy in Edmonton and position Alberta's visitor economy for long-term growth.
Joining Minister Boissonnault will be Martin Long, Parliamentary Secretary for Small Business and Tourism, Government of Alberta; Roger Kramers, Travel Alberta, Director of Tourism Investment with Destination Development; Arlindo Gomes, Vice President, Business Development & Venue Management, Explore Edmonton; Joe Urie, Board Member, Indigenous Tourism Alberta and Darren Reeder, Board Advisor, Tourism Industry Association of Alberta.
