COVID-19 Pandemic - The government presents its daily update

QUÉBEC CITY, Jan. 13, 2022 /CNW Telbec/ - The most recent data on the evolution of COVID-19, in the last 24 hours, in Québec show:

• 8,793 new cases, bringing the total number of people infected to 775,720*;
• 45 new deaths, for a total of 12,125 deaths;
• 2,994 hospitalizations, for an increase of 117 compared to the previous day;
• 443 new entries,
• 326 new discharges;
• 272 people in intensive care, for an increase of 9 compared to the previous day;
• 44 new entries,
• 35 new discharges;
• 43,320 samples conducted on January 11.

*Note that the number of cases listed is not representative of the situation since access to screening centres is restricted to priority clienteles.

Vaccination

• 116,101 doses administered are added, that is 111,395 doses in the last 24 hours and 4,711 doses before January 12, for a total of 16,080,391 doses administered in Québec. Outside Québec, a total of 257,300 doses were administered, for a cumulative total of 16,337,691 doses received by Quebecers.
