Total Safety Canada Announces the Divestiture of Its Occupational Hygiene Branch Operation in Burnaby, British Columbia


Total Safety Canada announces the divestiture of its occupational hygiene branch operation in Burnaby, British Columbia to SPI Health and Safety. Total Safety Canada will continue to provide national coverage for its clients providing safety equipment rental, compliance inspections, repair, safety personnel services and confined space management utilizing SafeTek technology product lines that improve safety performance while increasing productivity.

The Burnaby branch serves clients mainly in the oil and gas sectors serviced by certified occupational hygiene professionals (CIH, ROH, CRSP, CHSC) to ensure optimal prevention of workplace hazards. SPI acquires branch assets, employees and customers providing occupational hygiene services.

Glenn Roberts, Total Safety's Canadian Vice President, stated, "This is a good acquisition for SPI and the Total Safety Burnaby team. SPI will expand professional services to clients in Vancouver, BC and Total Safety will continue to focus on the expansion of core life-safety safety rental services and SafeTek technology offerings to customers in the Canadian market."
