2021 United States Investing Championship Nine Month Results

The United States Investing Championship today reported the leaders for the first nine months of the 2021 competition, which involved 338 top traders from around the world. The United States Investing Championship is a real money verified competition that gives quality traders an opportunity to showcase their talent on the world stage. Bill graduated from West Point and spent seven years in the US Army Infantry and Special Forces. He received an MBA from Wharton in 1991. He currently runs Beacon Rock Wealth Advisors.

Leading after ninth months in the $20,000+ stock division, +150%, is Ryan Pierpont of Los Gatos, California. Mr. Pierpont has a degree in business from Santa Clara University and does financial planning for the enterprise software industry. He finished third in the 2020 competition, + 448.4%. Second, + 137%, is Roy Mattox of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is Chief Market Strategist and Portfolio Manager of Integrated Financial Strategies. He grew up in Bogalusa, LA, and received an MBA from LSU. Third is Miguel Zambrano, + 96.1%. Mr. Zambrano is a Peruvian economist and financial consultant.

The enhanced growth division allows the trading of more volatile instruments such as futures and long options. Leading that division at the end of nine months is Salvador Palma, + 90.7%. Mr. Palma, who is from Chile, was previously an analyst for Moneda Asset Management and MBI. In second, + 77.3%, is Saurabh Bhatt. Mr. Bhatt is a Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services. Third is Levan Seperteladze, + 72.3%. Mr. Seperteladze grew up in Tbilisi, Georgia (USSR). He then moved to North Carolina, where he received a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and a Master's degree in International Management from High Point University.

The competition is run by Dr. Norman Zadeh, a former professor of Operations Research who taught in a visiting capacity at Stanford, UCLA, UC Irvine, and Columbia universities between 1975 and 1983. Dr. Zadeh managed hedge funds from 1991 to 2012. From 1996 to 2017, he was president of Perfect 10, Inc., which published Perfect 10 magazine from 1996 to 2007. A former professional gambler, Dr. Zadeh is the son of Lotfi Zadeh, the creator of fuzzy logic. Dr. Zadeh is about to release his next book, Fox News: The Enemy Within.
