What Will You Make With One Bag of QUIKRETE®?
From a water recycling concrete toilet tank top to a floating concrete ghost table and a fully-functioning electric guitar, past winners of the QUIKRETE® One Bag Wonder contest have always impressed. With high expectations, QUIKRETE, the leading manufacturer of packaged concrete, announces the 2021 QUIKRETE One Bag Wonder contest and will award the three most creative, well-crafted and high-quality DIY entries cash prizes and a trip to Atlanta for the 2022 Haven Conference.
"Each year the projects entered into the QUIKRETE One Bag Wonder contest further illustrate the creativity and versatility that's possible with concrete and we look forward to more of the same this year," said Frank Owens, chief marketing officer for The QUIKRETE Companies. "The vision people have for transforming a single bag of QUIKRETE into works of art or beautiful, unique pieces of furniture, decor and other one-of-a-kind projects is inspirational. To spread that inspiration, we're sharing the winning projects with the country's leading DIY bloggers at the Haven Conference. The use of concrete for DIY projects continues to grow and the popularity of the QUIKRETE One Bag Wonder contest is proof of this movement."
From September 7 through October 8, DIY projects created with up to one bag of any QUIKRETE concrete mix can be entered by emailing a 200-word description including the inspiration and step-by-step instructions and either three photos or a video to [email protected] or by posting the same information on social media and including #QUIKRETE1BagWonder. QUIKRETE will be joined by the Home Projects Council, a think tank of home improvement experts, in judging the projects based on creativity, craftsmanship and quality. The winners will be announced on October 25 with first place receiving $2,500, second place $1,500 and third place $500. QUIKRETE will also provide the three winners airfare and hotel accommodations so they may attend and participate in the 2022 Haven Conference in Atlanta where their projects will be exhibited.
