Eric LeGrand Shares his Inspirational Story on the Impact Podcast with John Shegerian

Motivational speaker, entrepreneur, sports analyst, philanthropist and author, Eric LeGrand ? now the CEO of LeGrand Coffee House ? is a featured guest this week on the Impact Podcast with John Shegerian. The show is hosted by Shegerian, Chairman/CEO of ERI, the nation's leading fully integrated IT and electronics asset disposition provider and cybersecurity-focused hardware destruction company.

LeGrand, a former Rutgers University football star, sustained a spinal cord injury at his C3 and C4 vertebrae during a fourth quarter play at MetLife Stadium in 2010. While the initial prognosis was grim, LeGrand demonstrated his titan strength by shattering all expectations for his recovery and rehabilitation. However, recovery was not enough. With close to six million Americans living with some form of paralysis, including 1.3 million spinal cord injuries, LeGrand harnessed the national spotlight he attracted from his injury to give back to the community and inspire those living with and impacted by paralysis to "bELieve." He has raised well over one million dollars for the Christopher & Dana Reeve Foundation.

LeGrand also launched his own online coffee brand, LeGrand Coffee House, earlier this year. Talking with Shegerian on the podcast, LeGrand shared details of his uniquely designer and high quality coffees and the importance of a positive mindset regardless of seemingly insurmountable odds.

"I had an awesome time on the Impact Podcast with John Shegerian," said LeGrand. "We got to dig into life, business, and also how to overcome adversity. I'm very excited for the Impact audience to hear this episode."

"It was an honor to have Eric on our show," said Shegerian. "Eric is a hero to me for many reasons, not least of which is the example he is setting for others. As CEO of an exciting new business, Eric is breaking down barriers to help change the way people with disabilities in executive leadership positions are seen by the media and general public. It's important that people hear Eric's story, and I'm excited that we are able to share it on the Impact Podcast, with Eric serving as a shining beacon for the more than 61 million Americans living with disabilities today."

Every week, Impact Podcast guests are invited as thought leaders to share with listeners first-hand accounts of how they are able to make the world a better place on a daily basis.
