Cranberry Peak announces MD Assist, a new software platform for education and training on evidence-based medicine, including imaging appropriateness

CAMBRIDGE, Mass., Nov. 30, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- In response to the need of healthcare providers for more educational and training resources on evidence-based medicine, including imaging appropriateness, Cranberry Peak Corp. announced today MD Assist, a new software as a service. While not a clinical decision support mechanism, MD Assist platform's aim is to enable healthcare organizations to adopt effectively evidence-based medicine technology. In particular, in the initial phase, healthcare organizations, such as outpatient imaging centers, physician practices or hospitals would be able to use MD Assist to educate and train their referring physicians on imaging appropriateness. MD Assist could also be deployed as a web-based service on the website of healthcare organizations, and hence, be easily accessible by providers.

Ultimately, the goal of the MD Assist platform is to support transition towards value-based care with evidence-based medicine enabling standards of care and to achieve the triple aim: improving the patient experience, improving the health of populations and reducing the per capita cost of healthcare delivery.
