The PMI or Patent Market Index decreased 4.0 percent to finish the quarter at 103.2. The PMI remains significantly above previous trading ranges of the past four years. Monitored Secondary Transaction volume increase by 4.3 percent in the third quarter.
The PLI or Patent Licensing index contracted 6.0 percent in the third quarter. Even with the decrease, the PLI has outperformed the S&P500 by almost 25% over the past twelve months.
