PHOENIX, Oct. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- With over $90,000 raised for charities, The Giving Tree is has been involved in a number of campaigns to help give back to their community, including hosting a barbecue dinner and t-shirt tie dye event for victims of domestic violence and fundraising for the Pat Tillman Foundation.
This year they plan to fundraise and be involved with this year's National Brain Tumor Society's Phoenix Brain Tumor Walk.
"We have a personal stake in the walk this year." says Lilach Mazor Power, founder and CEO. "Close friends of ours lost their 11 year-old son Parker to brain cancer in August this year. We've named ourselves Team Parker in his honor. We'll strive to achieve our fundraising goal of $10,000 with the help of our employees, partners, and patients."
The Giving Tree Dispensary opened its doors in 2013 in North Phoenix. Lilach got to know the area and really liked it. She believes educating customers and the community about cannabis and the different ways it can be used is a top priority for her company.
"We're driven to educate residents about cannabis and we love to meet our neighbors," said Power. "We want to be a good, stable influence in our community. We definitely want to be a store where everyone from seniors to young adults feel welcome."
When it comes to education, she says her dispensary's staff is very knowledgeable and happy to take the time to answer questions from customers. They've offered education at different community events and meetups when safe to do so under COVID-19 safety protocols.
