DSS, Inc. Partners with Diasyst to Empower Clinicians to Better Manage Chronically Ill Patients at the VA

JUNO BEACH, Fla., Oct. 20, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Document Storage Systems, Inc. (DSS, Inc.), a leading provider of health information technology (HIT) solutions for federal, private and public healthcare organizations, today announced a new partnership effort with Diasyst, a provider of the best of breed technologies to empower healthcare organizations to monitor and manage chronically ill patients.

Diasyst will be integrating with DSS's interoperability solutions in order to provide a seamless offering across the entire Veterans Affairs enterprise, especially for chronically ill patients, which have continued to increase in numbers throughout the years.

For example, currently nearly one in four men and women in the VA suffer from diabetes. With this new partnership, Diasyst will be able to scale its marketing, sales, training, and support infrastructure across the entire nation, potentially serving millions of lives affected by chronic conditions such as diabetes.

"The demand for effective remote patient monitoring, and the ability to keep chronically ill Veterans healthier at home, is rapidly growing," said Mark Byers, President of DSS, Inc., and a 2020 FedHealth IT 100 awardee. "Diasyst's solutions have great potential to meet this demand head-on. Together, we will empower thousands of clinicians to treat chronic illnesses far more impactfully, and in ways that keep Veterans safer."

Coming from decades of clinical research from Emory University/Healthcare and the Atlanta VA Medical Center, Diasyst specializes in developing tools that reduce clinical inertia and translate modern approaches to chronic disease management.

"DSS' experience with delivering interoperable and high-quality programs to Veterans is exactly what we need to offer our solutions to the largest integrated health system in the country," said Chun Yong, CEO, Diasyst. "By bringing Diasyst back to the VA, we are able to fulfill our original mission for why we formed Diasyst in the first place. By merging our capabilities, we believe we can truly make a difference for thousands of healthcare providers and their goal to improve outcomes for their chronically ill patient populations."

To accelerate the process, both companies have begun development efforts, technical approvals, and contracting processes throughout the VA and will begin pilots as soon as possible, particularly amid the national COVID-19 crisis, where patients are being told to stay at home but still require treatment during these harsh times.

By combining the latest monitoring devices and pharmacotherapy management guidelines into its powerful software platform, Diasyst collaborates with organizations like DSS to streamline new clinical services that improve patient care, save costs, and generate additional revenue.
