CassCaps Launches Kickstarter Campaign to Introduce Its Patented Culinary Gadget into the Kitchen

BINGHAM FARMS, Mich., Aug. 4, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Innovestor LLC announced today that it has launched its crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter for CassCaps.com, the world's first patented culinary measuring cap. Founded by inventor of the pineapple slicer, Mark LaCasse, and his daughter Erika, CassCaps is a patented cap and jar set that eliminates the need for measuring spoons by measuring and dispensing spices, herbs, and powdered ingredients straight from the bottle, eliminating messes and clutter, and reducing time spent in cooking preparation and clean-up. CassCaps' durable, high-quality kitchen gadget efficiently measures each ingredient with a click and a twist, and is also compatible with a variety of spice brands. The CassCaps Kickstarter crowdfunding campaign aims to raise $100,000 by September 4, 2020.

"With more cooks in the kitchen enhancing their palates and their plates, CassCaps serves up the ideal and most efficient way to season whatever the recipe calls for with an easy click and twist," said CassCaps Co-founder, Erika LaCasse. "COVID-19 has brought our entire family together again under one roof, which has allowed us as a family to take this idea off the shelf and bring it to life to help chefs find a simple solution for enhancing culinary ideas and clearing countertops."

With a swift click and twist, each CassCap can dispense increments of ¼ or ½ teaspoon from its patented, 100% Made in USA top. The cap resets to its original setting on its own, and can also be used with many existing spice brands. The high quality glass jars allow for sustainable, long-term storage and reusability, and can be refilled with most spices, herbs, and powdered ingredients.

CassCaps was originally idealized 25 years ago, after Mark LaCasse came up with the idea for the pineapple slicer while he was working at Chiquita Banana. Once an inventor, always an inventor, Mark was making homemade bread and was frustrated working with cumbersome measuring spoons that wouldn't fit into the spice bottles and just created a mess on the countertop. He said aloud that if he could measure ingredients straight from the bottle life would be a lot easier, to which his wife responded, "If such a thing existed, I'd buy it." Fast forward to 2016, Mark was able to secure the patent and began 3D printing prototypes. He put down the project for a few years, until his daughter Erika deliberately graduated early from Cornell University to make it her mission to bring her father's idea to life for home and professional chefs.

While CassCaps will officially head into production with the success of the Kickstarter campaign, the CassCaps idea has already passed the initial phases of product development, and injection mold validation. Meanwhile Erika is beginning to build the brand with delicious video recipes, which can be found at CassCaps.com, on Instagram (@CassCaps), and on Facebook (@CassCapsKitchen).
