Tamarack Resort Expands Bike-Park Offering with new Jump Park and Pump Track

TAMARACK, Idaho, Aug. 3, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Tamarack Resort announces the opening of two new additions to its renowned bike park: a pump track and jump park. Built for all levels of riders, the pump track offers a circuit of rollers, banked turns and other features designed to ridden by "pumping" (up-and-down body movements to generate momentum). The area even features a kids' zone where smaller riders on push or pedal bikes can join the fun. The jump park provides intermediate to advanced riders with four dirt jump lines highlighted by three large six-foot ramps as well as a whale-tale. The new area, which is complimentary for resort guests, is located near the base area of the resort, offering spectators a direct view of the action from the plaza level of the Village at Tamarack.

Both courses were designed and developed by professional mountain biker and course designer Andrew Taylor, along with his partners Greg Watts, Ryan Bush, Zac West and Joey Schuldt.

"What's great about this new pump track is that groups can ride together without having to split up, no matter their skill level," says Taylor, who has built similar parks in Santa Rosa and Lakeport, California, as well as a course on the Oregon Coast for the Boy Scouts of America. "From little kids to professional riders, the park offers something for everyone."

These new amenities are an accompaniment to the launch of the resort's year-round Boundless Pass earlier this year. "The Boundless Pass gives access to the entire resort, so we knew the bike park would be incredibly popular this season," reports Kalen Boland, Tamarack's director of homeowner services, who played an integral part in the development of the new bike park. "We are excited to have this amenity for our homeowners, right in their backyard."

"I am so pleased with the outstanding design and build that Andrew and his team delivered for us," says Tamarack President Scott Turlington. "We are committed to offering our guests and homeowners an uncompromising experience while they are with us at Tamarack and constant progression and the evolution of our amenities is how we do it. We will have more news around the next evolution of our newly-minted bike park soon. If you're thinking slopestyle at Tamarack, then you'll want to stay tuned," said Turlington.

The grand-opening and ribbon-cutting for the new pump track and jump park will be Aug. 8, 4-6 p.m. Course designer Andrew Taylor will showcase the course, followed by bike clinics for kids. Tamarack's new food truck, aptly named "Mountain Bites" will be open and ready to serve guests. On Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 9-10, the resort will host the Twisted Turtle Cross-Country Bike Race.
