Domini Impact Equity Fund Ranks in the Top 1% of Morningstar Ranking
The Domini Impact Equity Fund Investor shares (ticker symbol DSEFX) ranks in the top 1% of the US Fund Large Blend category of mutual funds as calculated by Morningstar, a respected mutual fund ranking service, based on one-year risk-adjusted total return as of June 30, 2020. The one-year ranking is particularly exciting as the Domini Impact Equity Fund underwent a strategy change on December 1, 2018.
Domini Impact Investments LLC ("Domini"), a firm focused exclusively on impact investing for decades, manages DSEFX using two investment management strategies:
- The "U.S. Core" strategy, normally about 90% of the portfolio, seeks to invest in a diversified portfolio of mid- to large-capitalization companies that demonstrate strong social and environmental performance relative to their peers, as determined by Domini.
- The "Thematic Solutions" strategy, typically about 10% of the portfolio, seeks to invest in solution-oriented companies across the full market capitalization spectrum. DSEFX's top 1% one-year ranking as of June 30, 2020 was among 1,458 funds. Its three-year ranking in the top 13% among 1,277 funds was also strong. The 5-year rank was 57% among 1,054 funds, and the 10-year rank was 68% among 805 funds.
Morningstar calculates Category % Rank based on a fund's risk-adjusted total return percentile rank relative to all funds in the same category. The highest (or most favorable) percentile rank is 1 and the lowest (or least favorable) percentile rank is 100.
