Financial hardship hits not-for-profit sector as PPE donations become necessary for local organizations

CALGARY, AB, July 7, 2020 /CNW/ - Canadian organizations have a budget shortfall to pay for critical personal protective equipment (PPE) to keep workers safe. RRPCanada.org identifies over 200 local Canadian organzation in need of PPE. It's the proverbial tip of the iceberg. Relief funds, corporations and governments must do more to bridge the financial shortfall to supply PPE to local Canadian organizations.

To help bridge the PPE gap for local organizations, RRPCanada.org launched the page "Support Local Organizations."  The page lists PPE needs of specific organizations, enabling Canadians to purchase PPE on their behalf. PPE purchased on behalf of the organization is immediately shipped direct to the organization's address by a Canadian-based supplier.

All donated PPE will be supplied by Canadian companies. In fact, the idea for the page "Support Local Organizations" came from Jeff Atley of J7 International. "We see a lot of donation requests from organizations that may not be covered by government programs, are not-for-profit or simply do not have the extra resources needed to propertly support their needs but inturn support their communities. We thought there must be a better way to allow people to provide direct support with full transparecncy to the organizations and PPE product supplies being donated." says Jeff Atley of J7 International.

The platform company behind RRPCanada.org expidited the technology development, launching within 2 weeks. "There must be 1,000+ organizations in need of PPE without the budegtary means to pay for it. We will not stop until the critical safety needs of Canadian organizations are met. Our technology continues to scale to meet the need." says Rabin Aryal, VP of Engineering at platform company RRP.

Does your company or relief fund want to make a local impact buying PPE for those in need? Is your organization in need of PPE?
