AML Launches New Striker Mobile Computer Running Androidtm OS

EULESS, Texas, June 3, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- AML, a 37-year veteran manufacturer of barcode-centric mobile computers and kiosks, has introduced the new American-made Striker Enterprise Mobile Computer. Earlier this year, attendees of NRF, "Retail's Big Show," 3DExperience World 2020 and MODEX received a sneak peek of the new device in action. After initial feedback and preliminary beta testing, the Striker has now been officially released.

The Striker is designed to excel in a variety of settings including warehouses, distribution centers, and even the retail floor. Striker's hardened, tempered glass and an optically bonded capacitive touchscreen ensure it can handle the toughest environments. Striker is also the first mobile computer in its class to be produced with an antimicrobial housing to help prevent the spread of microorganisms as well as UV inhibitors to prevent deterioration due to prolonged UVC exposure, commonly used for disinfection purposes.

A host of integrated software apps are preloaded onto the device making configuration and deployment a breeze, as well as our popular DC Suite software that includes seven applications for simple barcode data capture tasks.

"Striker is the result of our ongoing effort to produce American-made data collection products for industry. Commercial and industrial users of data collection equipment need to know they have other options besides imported devices. And given the new era we are entering into, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, Striker's antimicrobial case will make it a hands-down winner for those companies looking to protect their employees from communicable diseases."

Powered by Android 8.1 (Oreo) running on a Quad Core 1.8GHz processor, the Striker has ample power and resources needed to get the job done. Striker is equipped with a 4" LCD with a capacitive touchscreen, a 47-key tactile alphanumeric keypad and has the ability to accommodate multiple barcode scan engines. These features are also complemented by an integrated dual-beam flashlight with a secondary trigger, built-in speaker and microphone, 3.5mm headset jack and optional 13 megapixel camera.

The Striker will be available for shipment in early June.
