IIROC to Hold a Settlement Hearing for Montréal Trader Kenneth Aitchison


MONTRÉAL, May 13, 2020 /CNW/ - A Hearing Panel of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) will consider whether to accept a Settlement Agreement entered into between IIROC staff and Kenneth Aitchison.

The Agreement concerns allegation that Mr. Aitchison entered orders on marketplaces in a manner that was not open and fair, nor in accordance with just and equitable principles of trade.

The hearing is not open to the public but will become open should the Panel accepts the agreement. Members of the public who wish to attend must contact IIROC's National Hearing Coordinator at [email protected] for more information. If the agreement is accepted, the Panel's decision and the Settlement Agreement will be made available at www.iiroc.ca.

Appearance Date: The hearing will be held by way of teleconference on June 5, 2020 at 9:30 a.m.

IIROC formally initiated the investigation into Mr. Aitchison' conduct in February 2018. The alleged contravention occurred while Mr. Aitchison was a registered trader with Leede Gable Jones Inc., an IIROC-regulated firm. Mr. Aitchison is still employed as registered trader with Leede Gable Jones Inc.
