Creative Impact Agency Honored for Best Use of Online Media (Advertising, Media & PR) in the 24th Annual Webby Awards

LOS ANGELES, May 01, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Creative Impact Agency (CIA) announced today that it has been honored for Best Use of Online Media (Advertising, Media & PR) in the 24th Annual Webby Awards for its online campaign for Amazon Studio's "The Report" which dominated news sites for a single-day stunt on November 14, 2019. The project garnered attention from AdAge, AdWeek and other industry leaders for its innovative approach to capturing the attention of audiences. Hailed as the "Internet's highest honor" by The New York Times, The Webby Awards, presented by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences (IADAS), is the leading international awards organization honoring excellence on the Internet. Webby Award winners will be announced May 19.

In keeping with the subject and themes of "The Report," the stunt incorporated integrated front-page takeovers of newspapers and news sites both domestically and internationally where readers encountered "redacted" lines of copy and the film's tag line "TRUTH MATTERS." The stunt appeared on the front pages and landing pages of the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, The Guardian, Chicago Tribune, Fox News, CNN, San Francisco Chronicle, Apple News and the Washington Post, among many more. CIA strategized and implemented all aspects of the stunt including writing the editorial copy that accompanied the eye-catching art. "The Report," written and directed by Scott Z. Burns, stars Adam Driver, Annette Bening and Jon Hamm and centers on actual events surrounding the CIA's Detention and Interrogation Program created in the aftermath of 9/11 that uncovered explosive findings illuminating the lengths the nation's top intelligence agency went to destroy evidence, subvert the law and hide a brutal secret from the American public. The Webby Award nominated campaign may be viewed here.

"We are incredibly proud of our collaboration with Amazon Studios in creating a disruptive, impactful campaign for this project that fired on all fronts in accomplishing our main objective: to get people talking about "The Report," stated CIA Partner and Creative Director Alan Lobel. "We are so proud of our team, their ingenuity, tenacity and passion to not just succeed, but to nail it with laser focused smarts and imagination. We always try to break through the clutter and this campaign did just that."

"Honorees like Creative Impact Agency are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet," said Claire Graves, Executive Director of The Webby Awards. "It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the 13,000 entries we received this year."
