Stewart Trial Attorneys and Butler Law Firm Create The People vs. COVID-19

ATLANTA, April 8, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- Heroes emerge in a crisis.  In the face of COVID-19, the heroes have been the doctors, nurses, and other medical providers who put themselves in harm's way by stepping up to treat patients and slow the spread of this virus.

Nurses and doctors face many challenges as they work day and night to keep the community safe, according to attorney Chris Stewart.  There aren't enough of them.  They don't have the masks they need.  The hospitals and clinics that have called for 'all hands on deck' are even having trouble keeping their doctors and nurses fed.

Most people can't train nurses or manufacture masks, but many people can help with this last problem.  The People vs. COVID-19 gathers donations and allows hospitals to say what their needs are.  It then invites local restaurants to join the program.  Then, The People vs. COVID 19 uses donations to buy the food from the local restaurants and have it delivered to nurses, doctors, and other medical professionals working on the front lines.  The organization's goal is to feed the people who are working to keep us all safe, and help local businesses at the same time, explained attorney Jeb Butler.

If you can help, the organization would appreciate it, Stewart said ? and so would the doctors and nurses.  To donate, visit the website (linked to above) and click the link in the top-right of the page.

The People vs. COVID-19 wants its donors to claim credit, Butler emphasized.  It helps the word spread.  The organization asks that donors post on social media about their donations.  Donors should use the hashtag "#thePeoplevsCOVID19."  The organization's goal is to have the names of all donors scrolling across the bottom of the webpage.  The organization envisions that when a donor's name scrolls across the bottom of the screen, the donor will take a screenshot that he or she can share on social media.  That helps to spread the word about the need to feed nurses and doctors, the need to support local restaurants, and The People vs. COVID-19.

The People vs. COVID-19 was started by Chris Stewart of Stewart Trial Attorneys.  He pitched the idea to Jeb Butler, and now the Butler Law Firm is all in too.  Both firms handle wrongful death and personal injury cases in Atlanta, Georgia.
