PTCE to Host Live CE-Accredited Panel Discussion on COVID-19 for Pharmacists


PTCE, a leader in continuing education for retail, health-system, oncology, managed care and specialty pharmacists, will host a free, CE-certified one-hour webcast titled "COVID-19 Essentials for Pharmacists and What You Need to Know Right Now" that will take place live on Saturday, March 28, at 8:30 a.m. EST.

The novel virus that causes coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) is rapidly becoming one of the most challenging public health crises in modern history. This panel discussion will highlight how the pandemic is affecting pharmacists and what they need to know to provide the best care to their patients. The expert panelists will discuss the epidemiology and severity of COVID-19, describe evidence of possible treatment agents and review frequently asked questions from patients and caregivers.

The featured speakers for this program will be Daniel T. Abazia, Pharm.D., BCPS, CPPS, director of pharmacy, Capital Health; Jason C. Gallagher, Pharm.D., FCCP, FIDP, FIDSA, BCPS, editor-in-chief of Contagion® and clinical professor, Temple University School of Pharmacy; and Rupal Mansukhani, Pharm.D., FAPhA, CTTS, clinical associate professor, Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy, Rutgers University.
