The Wellness Network joins U.S. hospitals in the fight against the coronavirus by providing free education and anxiety reduction resources.

PEWAUKEE, Wis., March 19, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The Wellness Network, a leading publisher and curator of patient education media since 1978, and its relaxation content partner MedCalm today announced they are providing all U.S. hospitals a free platform loaded with education on coronavirus and stress relief resources for them to make available to their patients, families, and communities. Both companies will do so for the duration of the coronavirus pandemic.

"As a leading patient education and engagement company already partnered with over 2,600 hospitals and health facilities, our team wants to join the fight against the coronavirus by making our educational content more broadly accessible at home than ever before. And because anxiety is spreading faster than the virus, we asked our content partner MedCalm to join us in the effort," said CEO Dave Ross.

The free online coronavirus resource center can be set up and go live within minutes, linked to the hospital's website and branded with the hospital name. The library of helpful content includes over 25 printable digital articles and videos from The Wellness Network, MedCalm, and the World Health Organization covering topics such as:

Hospitals can explore additional customization, including the option of adding their own coronavirus or other content to the platform or expanding the education library in the future.

A critical component of the educational tool is the stress-relief provided by Medcalm's videos.

"The MedCalm videos promote wellness and empower patients with relaxation, meditation, and nature programming," said Amy Gordon-Fisher of Medcalm. "Our programs are designed to calm, inform, empower, and improve outcomes as patients face diagnosis and treatment. This is a high-stress time for clinical teams, and we are proud we can partner with them in this critical time."
