Japan's Friendship Ties Programs JENESYS 2019 ASEAN Inbound Program 26th Batch

115 youth representatives who are the members of National Youth (U-19) and officials of the Football Associations of four ASEAN countries (Cambodia, Lao PDR, Malaysia, Myanmar) and Timor-Leste, are scheduled to visit Japan from February 24th to March 4th, 2020 as part of the Japan's Friendship Ties Programs, "JENESYS 2019" promoted by Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan (MOFA).

The Participants will visit Kagoshima Prefecture to have international friendly football matches. They will also have a program to interact with Japanese high school students, have lectures on the theme, and visit theme-related facilities such as Japan Football Museum.

Through the program, we hope the friendly relationship among Japan, 4 ASEAN countries and Timor-Leste will be strengthened, and the participants proactively share the attractiveness of Japan which they experienced in Japan after returning to their home country.

The program is intended to promote people-to-people exchanges between Japan and the various nations and regions of the Asia-Pacific, and to encourage an understanding of Japan's economics, society, history, diverse culture, politics and diplomatic relations among participants. A better understanding in these areas will lead to cultivate supporters for Japan, and participants' proactive dissemination of information on Japan's diplomatic policy and attractive points will strengthen our public relations.
