Vizient Experts to Participate at HSCA National Pharmacy Forum 2020


Vizient, Inc. will join supply chain professionals, pharmaceutical industry representatives and other thought leaders for the Healthcare Supply Chain Association National Pharmacy Forum 2020. The conference entitled, "A 2020 Perspective on Healthcare and Pharmacy Leadership," will be held Feb. 3-5 in Scottsdale, Arizona.

503B Compounding Update
11 a.m. to noon

The 503B compounding industry has recently gone through significant policy changes. Vizient senior clinical manager Katrina Harper, PharmD, MBA, BCPS, BCSCP, will join this panel discussion to provide an update on the revised compounding guidelines and the effects on health care providers. The session will also feature perspectives from 503B compounders and manufacturers.

Acute Care Pharmacy Leader Panel ? Pharmacy GPO Leaders
1:15-2:15 p.m.

Mittal Sutaria, PharmD, Vizient vice president of pharmacy contracting and program services will discuss with other pharmacy panelists the role GPOs continue to play in the health care supply chain and beyond. The much anticipated session will highlight updates regarding key market trends, challenges and opportunities and understanding the needs of the provider members.

Key Pharmaceutical Issues/Therapies of the Future
3:30-4:30 p.m.

Steven Lucio, PharmD, BCPS, vice president, pharmacy solutions, will moderate this panel, which will look at the future of pharmaceutical development with a special focus on cell and gene therapies. Panelists will discuss the potential impact of these therapies and the challenges for manufacturers, providers, and payors in balancing the opportunity for patient benefit with the cost of treatment.
