Blumenthal Nordrehaug Bhowmik De Blouw LLP, File a Lawsuit Against The Permanente Medical Group, Inc., for Alleged Discrimination and Retaliation Violations


ALAMEDA, Calif., Jan. 22, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The San Francisco employment law attorneys at Blumenthal Nordrehaug Bhowmik De Blouw LLP, filed a class action lawsuit against The Permanente Medical Group, Inc., alleging that the company did not provide their employees with meal and rest breaks and allegedly failed to lawfully calculate and pay their employees the correct overtime. PLAINTIFF's request for accommodation fell on deaf ears, as DEFENDANT allegedly failed to respond to PLAINTIFF's request ultimately leading to PLAINTIFF's termination.

Furthermore, the complaint alleges DEFENDANT unlawfully and unilaterally failed to accurately calculate minimum and overtime wages for time worked by PLAINTIFF and other members of the CALIFORNIA CLASS in order to avoid paying these employees the correct minimum wage and overtime compensation.
