BHB Announces Addition of Structural Engineering

FORT WORTH, Texas, Jan. 15, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Baird, Hampton & Brown, a multi-disciplinary engineering, land surveying, and landscape architecture firm recently announced the addition of structural engineering. This new service adds to the firm's five other sectors of mechanical/plumbing, electrical, and civil engineering; land surveying; and landscape architecture.

The decision to offer structural engineering has been a strategic goal of BHB's for several years and has become more pressing after seeing the need for a firm that offers comprehensive engineering and design services. Also referred to as total project integration, BHB's unified multi-disciplinary team allows for enhanced single-point project coordination, built-in quality assurance, and unique perspectives to effectively design and implement projects.

"At BHB, we have strived to offer a complete service, consisting of CMEP engineering, landscape architecture, and land surveying. This allows owners and architects to receive the complete package of services they are needing from one source," said Konstantine Bakintas, PE, President and Senior Civil Engineer at BHB. "Structural engineering is a natural place for us to grow, and this new service will allow us to have greater technical depth to fill those needs."

Correspondingly, BHB has hired Ronald Ishmael, PE, as an Associate and structural engineer to establish and grow the structural services team. With 13 years of diverse structural experience ranging from structural analysis and design to project management and historical preservation, Ishmael has spent a majority of his professional career providing structural and forensic engineering services for projects across the DFW Metroplex.

"We wanted someone that would come in and not only fulfill the structural design needs and support services but could also establish and grow a team ? and Ronald is that person," stated Bakintas. "We believe he is the right individual to weave structural engineering successfully with our other services."

Ishmael and the structural engineering staff are based out of the Fort Worth office and will provide supportive services to the CMEP teams, while pursuing structural projects. As 2020 progresses, BHB is looking forward to providing this additional service for clients.
