Consolidated Credit Redefines Financial New Year's Resolutions with Three Free Webinars


FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., Jan. 6, 2020 /PRNewswire/ -- The New Year can be a new start, and Consolidated Credit sees 2020 as a year for consumers to secure their financial foundation. To help consumers manage their debt, hack their taxes and protect their money, the national non-profit is hosting a series of webinars on the second Wednesday of each month. The webinars start at 1:00 P.M. (EST), and registration is now open to the public.

Studies show that holiday debt can take years to pay off, and the webinar "Recovering from a Holiday Debt Hangover" on January 8, will address how to:

"Tightening belts around the holidays can be tough, but we want people to know that we can help them if they spent more money than they should have," says April Lewis-Parks, Education Director for Consolidated Credit.  "In 2020, we're challenging consumers to take the reins on their finances and make the next decade one of financial stability and progress."

"Tax Hacks from the Experts" on February 12, will include three tax professionals addressing:

"For the first time in almost 3 decades, there have been updates to the tax code and some consumers may be adapting or unaware of these changes, and that's why we've made this webinar a priority," says Lewis-Parks.  

During Consumer Protection Week, the "Your Consumer Rights: What They Are and How to Use Them" webinar on March 11, will empower consumers against scams, marketing schemes and unlawful collections practices. This webinar encourages consumers to:
