Caravan Capital Launches Emerging Market Strategy: Sub-advises Fund With Cliff Quisenberry at Helm

Caravan Capital Management, a boutique manager specializing in emerging markets and frontier market strategies, announces the launch of the Caravan Emerging Markets Strategy, which seeks to exploit inefficiencies within emerging markets for longer-term capital appreciation.

In addition, Caravan will sub-advise the Frontier Caravan Emerging Markets Fund (FCEMX, FCESX) advised by Frontegra Asset Management. The Fund, structured as a 1940 Act regulated investment company, will mirror Caravan's Emerging Markets Strategy. Caravan's CEO and CIO, Cliff Quisenberry, previously served as the director of research and as chief strategist of emerging markets for Parametric Portfolio Associates from 1995 until 2007. During his tenure at Parametric, he managed and helped develop that firm's emerging markets capabilities.

"While US equities have dominated in the last ten years, we are now seeing compelling valuations in emerging markets relative to the S&P 500 that we believe are unsustainable," said Quisenberry. "Country-specific behavior often dominates in emerging markets, so we've developed a proprietary and dynamic value-driven process at the country level to capture the opportunities of these markets in a more balanced and diversified way than the cap-weighted indices."

"Cliff and his team's fundamental, proprietary approach to country selection, combined with their forward-looking lens in their markets, makes Caravan a compelling option in the institutional marketplace," said Bill Forsyth, Frontier Funds President. "We look forward to working with experienced professionals like Cliff and his team to provide a high-quality emerging markets equity strategy in a fund that is priced very competitively and has daily valuation and liquidity."

The strategy and Fund's benchmark will be the MSCI Emerging Markets Index. The Fund offers Institutional and Service Class shares with minimum investments of $100,000 and $10,000, respectively.
