Vivint Smart Home Named a Best Company to Work For

Vivint Smart Home, a leading smart home company in North America, today announced that Utah Business magazine named it one of Utah's "Best Companies to Work For" for the second consecutive year. Vivint is one of the state's largest tech employers, with nearly half of its more than 10,000 employees based in Utah. This recognition follows Vivint's inclusion on the Forbes list of "The Best Employers for Diversity" earlier this year.

"We work hard to create a culture of innovation, inclusion and appreciation that inspires our employees to do their best work," said Starr Fowler, senior vice president of human resources at Vivint Smart Home. "We're honored to have Utah Business once again recognize us for our efforts to build one of Utah's premier employment destinations."

All of the companies that participate in the Utah Business "Best Companies to Work For" program go through a rigorous examination of workplace elements such as benefits and pay, fairness and opportunities, corporate culture, internal communication and employee pride.

Vivint supports its employees and their families with an onsite medical clinic, unlimited paid time off and flexible work scheduling and location. Employees enjoy on-site cafés, fitness centers and indoor basketball courts. The company hosts a variety of private concerts and other events for its employees at popular venues such as the Vivint Smart Home Arena, home of the NBA's Utah Jazz.

Vivint also creates opportunities for its employees to serve in the community. Through its Vivint Gives Back charitable foundation, the company and its employees have donated more than $18 million and 200,000 service hours to help people in need, with a focus on families of children with autism and other intellectual disabilities.
