Life Science Logistics Begins Construction on Second Indianapolis-Area Facility, Doubles Cold Chain Storage to Meet Demand

INDIANAPOLIS, Dec. 3, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- As the pharmaceutical and medical device market continues to demand greater FDA-regulated, temperature-controlled storage and distribution, Life Science Logistics (LSL), a leading, national provider of healthcare supply chain solutions, today announced it has begun construction on a 280,000 sq. ft. facility ? the company's second in the Indianapolis area.

The new storage and distribution location in Whitestown will create 50 new logistics and operations jobs, and will allow LSL to double its cold chain storage at the company's existing, Brownsburg-based distribution warehouse.

"The advances in medical treatments for oncology, diabetes, cell and gene therapies and so many other diagnoses require FDA-regulated products, that increasingly require, cold chain storage," says LSL CEO Richard Beeny. "We only see that demand continuing to grow, and are excited to be part of it."

When combined with the existing 526,200 sq. ft. at the Brownsburg facility, the Whitestown facility brings LSL's total combined Indianapolis footprint to 806,200 sq. ft. of mixed-use, FDA-regulated storage and distribution space. Like the Brownsburg location, Whitestown will feature best-in-class technology and automation to ensure world-class performance.

"Market expectations only project increased need for this kind of specialty storage and distribution," adds Beeny, "we will continue to expand our footprint to meet that need."
