Greenberg Traurig's Boston Office Hosts Medical Devices Market Trends & Opportunities Breakfast


BOSTON, Nov. 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Global law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP's Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group co-hosted a Medical Devices Market Trends & Opportunities Educational Breakfast with engineering and scientific consulting firm Exponent. The event was held Nov. 12 in the firm's Boston office. The event addressed trends in the medtech industry, identified opportunities for innovators to develop intellectual property (IP), examined energy and power management for medical devices, and discussed the requirements and constraints that originate from patients, physicians, and regulatory agencies.

From 8:00 ? 9:30 a.m., David J. Dykeman, patent attorney and co-chair of Greenberg Traurig, LLP's global Life Sciences & Medical Technology Group and Boston Intellectual Property & Technology Group, was a panelist. He was joined by David Borsook, MD, Ph.D., Professor, Harvard Medical School; Geoff DaCosta, Director of Business Development & Licensing, Medtronic; and Alex Margulis, Ph.D., Chief Operating Officer, Mansfield Bio-Incubator. From 9:45 ? 10:30 a.m., presentations were made by Exponent Principal Quinn C. Horn, Ph.D., P.E., and Senior Associate Sergio Mendoza, Ph.D. Chinh H. Pham, chair of Greenberg Traurig's Emerging Technology Group and co-chair of the firm's Boston IP Group, gave welcome remarks.
