Blue Ridge Bankshares Inc. and Virginia Community Bankshares, Inc. Announce Regulatory Approvals for Proposed Merger


LURAY, Va., Oct. 23, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Blue Ridge Bankshares, Inc. ("Blue Ridge") (OTC Pink: BRBS), headquartered in Luray, Va., and Virginia Community Bankshares, Inc. ("VCB") (OTC Pink: VCBS), headquartered in Louisa, Va., today jointly announced the receipt of regulatory approvals from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency, the Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond, and the Virginia State Corporation Commission to move forward with the proposed merger of VCB with and into Blue Ridge. The proposed merger remains subject to shareholder approval and special shareholder meetings for both companies are expected to be held on December 12, 2019.
