VCA Animal Hospitals Offers Free Boarding for Pets Displaced by Alaska Wildfires


VCA Animal Hospitals is offering free boarding assistance in Alaska for dogs and cats, and other species, that have been displaced by recent wildfires in the Anchorage market. Recent wildfires have caused air quality issues, property destruction and mandatory evacuations for local families.

"At VCA, pet health is our top priority at all times, including during unforeseen emergencies like these devastating wildfires," said Dr. Bob Doak, senior vice president of VCA Animal Hospitals. "Two of our hospitals in the area are extending free boarding for pets so families can focus on the wildfire emergency, knowing their pets are in a safe and caring environment."

Boarding assistance is offered on a space-available basis at the following hospitals:
