Gradiant's CEO and Co-founder Named to MIT Technology Review 2019 Innovator Under 35 List

Today, Gradiant's CEO and Co-founder, Anurag Bajpayee, was named to MIT Technology Review's annual list of Innovators Under 35 in the entrepreneur category. Every year, MIT Technology Review recognizes a list of exceptionally talented technologists whose work has great potential to transform the world. Past recipients include Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg and Google's Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

Dr. Bajpayee received his PhD in Mechanical Engineering from MIT where he developed a water treatment technology that was awarded Scientific American's Top 10 World Changing Ideas. From there, he, along with his Co-founder and CTO Dr. Prakash Govindan, founded Gradiant, a water technology and services company that now has over 150 employees across 5 countries, over two hundred patents, and a comprehensive portfolio of water treatment technologies and solutions focused on solving the world's most challenging water problems.

"It is an honor to be on this list and among such a revered group of people. Being recognized here has reinforced my belief that focusing on cleaning the world's most contaminated waters in efficient and environmentally friendly ways is a worthy pursuit whose impact is well understood. Gradiant will continue to pursue this objective in order to become the world's most impactful water company," Dr. Bajpayee stated.

Gideon Lichfield, editor-in-chief of MIT Technology Review, said: "MIT Technology Review's annual Innovators Under 35 list is a chance for us to honor the outstanding people behind the breakthrough technologies of the year that have the potential to disrupt our lives. These profiles offer a glimpse into what the face of technology looks like today as well as in the future."
