US Sports Camps Announces Brian Netzler as Head Women's Volleyball Coach at Davenport University

SAN RAFAEL, Calif., June 18, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Brian Netzler will follow in the footsteps of former Head Coach Megan Lenhart, who completed nine seasons with the Panthers and obtained a .633 winning percentage.

This will not be his first stint in a collegiate level coaching position. Netzler has previously coached at Austin Peay State as an assistant coach for 3 years, and a volunteer assistant coach for one season the University of Mississippi. Netzler now comes to Davenport from Miami University where he served as the assistant coach for the 2017 and 2018 season. During his time there, he helped coordinate and run specific drills for the team, was a recruiting coordinator, and scouted future competition for the Davenport Panthers.

When asked about his move to Grand Rapids, Michigan, Netzler said "I am eager to get to work, and help this program reach its full potential. It is an exciting time to be a part of Davenport University, Panther Athletics, and the Grand Rapids community!"

Netzler will also be taking over the Nike Volleyball Camp at Davenport University this summer and will bring new and exciting drills to players in the western Michigan area. This camp is designed to help improve a camper's fundamentals and mechanics through position specific drill work, live game play, and team work. Camp will run July 9 to 12 for girls ages 10 - 18 of all ability levels.
