Cumberland Academy of Georgia Summer Program to Keep Students Active and Academically Engaged

ATLANTA, June 12, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cumberland Academy of Georgia students are preparing for an adventurous, active and healthy summer as this summer students have access to a wide variety of experiences. On June 3, the school began hosting its 2019 summer camp programs for students grades 4-11. The sessions held throughout the summer focus primarily on continued learning, social enrichment and recreational activities meant to further personal growth and self discovery.

"Our priority, inside and outside the classroom, is to continuously challenge students," said Doug Long, principal at Cumberland Academy of Georgia. "Every year our summer program offerings continue to expand. We are thrilled to be able to provide a plethora of summer opportunities to explore new talents and interests in a safe and fun environment."

The eight unique programs Cumberland Academy of Georgia offers provide academic, athletic and skill-building opportunities. Students can register for a trip to explore Disney World, practice improv and improve stage presence in a week-long drama camp, partake in an outdoor adventure camp, or learn to operate and navigate drones. July programs include a basketball sports camp, ACT prep course and a school prep week to help students prepare for the upcoming school year. Cumberland also encourages students to receive real-world work experience through an employment program in partnership with the Tommy Nobis Center. Cumberland students attend a week long training session led by Tommy Nobis staff and are then placed in paid opportunities.

During each of these programs, students build team-collaboration skills, exercise their creativity and discover new friendships. Families interested in having their child/children participate in Cumberland Academy of Georgia summer programs must register by June 15, 2019.
