Leading NYC PR Firm Kaplow Communications Announces Winner of Inaugural Scholarship and Internship


NEW YORK, June 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Kaplow Communications, known for its focus on new earned media relations, has announced its inaugural Kaplow Scholarship and Internship program in collaboration with New York Women in Communications (NYWICI). The recipient, Ciara Rolle-Harris received the scholarship during the NYWICI 2019 Matrix Awards.

"As both a Forbes Under 30 Scholar and a T Howard Foundation Scholar, we know that Ciara will bring many contributions to Kaplow."

Ciara will support Kaplow's influencer relations and wellness practices starting June 3. Prior to Kaplow, Ciara completed seven internships, including a Media Relations Internship at HBO and Communications Internship at Viacom (MTV|VH1|Logo). In 2018, she was named a Forbes Under 30 Scholar and a T Howard Foundation Scholar. Most recently, Ciara interned at The Wellmont Theater concert venue. On campus, she is an active member of Montclair University's PRSSA (Public Relations Student Society of America) chapter.

Each year, New York Women in Communications ? a 501(c)(3) organization? awards 15 to 20 scholarships to graduating high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students who intend to pursue or further a career in communications. The scholarship application was open from mid-November to the last Friday of January. Each completed application was assessed by two different readers. Students who passed to the 2nd stage received telephone interviews and those who passed to the 3rd stage attended an in-person interview in New York City.
